In addition to our passion to help the people of Lake Country connect with God, our desire is also to be a "sending church"- a church that equips and sends men and women around the world to help diverse peoples encounter the life of Jesus Christ. Below are updates from some of our people around the world.
Jordan Weatherson has been staffing a discipleship training school at the YWAM base in Lausanne. He will be co-leading a team to Egypt as well as Sudan. They will be spending 6 weeks in Egypt, mainly working in the Cairo area among the churches, orphanages and in area called Garbage city. Then in order to go to southern Sudan they will fly to Uganda, drive up to northern Uganda and then drive into southern Sudan. Northern Sudan is Arabic and southern Sudan is black Africa. this difference has been the cause for almost 40 years of civil war. Therefore travel from north to south is somewhat dangerous. The team will stay at the YWAM base in Aura (in the NW corner of Uganda). They will be there for 10 days working in a refugee camp housing Sudanese and Congolese refugees.
Pray for:
1. Our way into Sudan would continue to stay open
2. God would continue to work in the nations and that we would be aware and willing to join in the work that He is doing.
3. As Jordan leads that God would give him faith and wisdom.
4. That God would provide for all the teams financial needs.
5. Protection for the team.
